Sioux Lookout Bombers set to compete at 2024 Centennial Cup

Sioux Lookout Bombers fans were invited to wish the team well at two recent events as they prepare to take on the top Junior A teams in the country at this year’s Centennial Cup in Oakville, Ontario.
The Bombers visited the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre on May 3 with the Bill Salonen Cup. Fans were able to meet players from the team at the hospital’s main entrance.
A send-off for the SIJHL champion Bombers was also held on May 6 at Five Mile Corner.
The Bombers will play in Game 1 of the Centennial Cup on May 9 at 11 a.m. against the Winkler Flyers. The Bombers next opponent will be the host Oakville Blades on May 11 at 6:30 p.m. The Bombers will next take on the Miramichi Timberwolves on May 12 at 6:30 p.m. The Bombers then take on the Melfort Mustangs on May 14 at 11 a.m. to finish round robin play.
The Sioux Lookout Bombers shared that the top three teams from each pool in the preliminary round will advance to the knockout stage starting Friday, May 17th.
