Brief power interruption last Wednesday evening likely a blown fuse

Quick action on the part of Sioux Lookout Hydro had power restored approximately an hour after it went out in parts of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout last Wednesday evening.
Power was interrupted around 8:15 p.m. and was restored after an extensive line inspection at 9:15 p.m.
The power outage impacted all of Alcona and reduced to part power areas of Front Street and King Street, the Sioux Lookout Municipal Airport and hangers, as well as local hotels and hostels in Highway 72 and Sturgeon River Road area.
Deanne Kulchyski, President/CEO of Sioux Lookout Hydro Inc., said the cause of the outage is unknown, but likely a bird or animal caused a blown fuse.
