As many people have no doubt noticed, water levels are above normal for this time of year and that can cause flooding.

Meno-Ya-Win seeks second surgeon, more doctors
A search for a second general surgeon is hoped to yield positive results to relieve the workload of Sioux Lookout’s existing surgeon, shorten waiting lists and reduce the need to fly patients to Thunder Bay or Winnipeg for surgery, according to hospital staff.

Still above water
With water levels up this spring many area lakes and rivers are spilling over their banks. As of June 17 the pathway at the walking bridge by the Travel Information Centre remained above water but would have been sunk last year as the pathway has been raised five inches since last summer.
Construction in the Front Street and Third Avenue area is slated to continue through the summer with substantial performance for the project dated September 30th...
