Farlinger Park (Town Beach) Grand Re-Opening 

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout celebrated the grand re-opening of Farlinger Park/Town Beach this past Saturday.
The celebration included speeches from dignitaries including Councillor Joyce Timpson and Kiiwetinoong MPP Sol Mamakwa. 
Mamakwa and members of council cut a ribbon to officially reopen the space.
A free community BBQ and live music on the new stage were also part of the event.
“A lot of work has taken place at Farlinger Park over the last few years,” said Mayor Doug Lawrance in a media release issued the previous day.  “The new Farlinger Park truly is a place the whole community can enjoy and also invites new recreational opportunities. It is most welcoming to our visitors as well. We will have some great new recreational opportunities.”
