The great silence

The great silence has begun. Here’s one view from our deck at camp. It’s so beautiful it deserves a poem.
Missing are our loon family and various ducks of the shoreline. Lonely at evening sundown.
Soon leaves will be down and we’ll be settling into the fall and winter seasons. Beautiful, exciting, moments of our lives, but not the sublime joy of a short summer.
