The Merry Marching Band delights showgoers at Sioux Lookout performance
Tim Brody - Editor
The Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series presented The Merry Marching Band, a performance by Strada Productions, at Sioux Mountain Public School on March 25.
Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series representative Shannon Brody commented of the show, “The Merry Marching Band was a great show, very lively and kept the audience entertained. Everyone I spoke to after the show said they really enjoyed it. One of the parents appreciated how kindly and seamlessly they included a little one in a show.”
She added, “Attendance was about 90 people, young and young at heart. Special thanks to Minnitaki Lodge for being so wonderful when our performers needed extra days due to the road conditions, and to the Embers and Sparks group for graciously giving up their space for our show.”
Strada Productions shares on their website about the “Incredible musical clownish performance”, “Underpantsburg is home to a band, or fanfare unlike any other. Under the guidance of a pompous band leader by turns bossy and bird-brained, this merry band sets out to see the world. With plenty of humour, no small amount of eccentricity and a touch of poetry, the band of music-makers makes its merry way—with a honk and a toot and a rat-a-tat-tat—from Quebec to Brazil to Ukraine and back, with a stopover on Planet Mars!”
The next show in the Kids Kaleidoscope Entertainment Series will be Tim Holland - Stunt Ventriloquist extraordinaire! on May 9.
