Supporting MRI campaign
Members of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary made a $15,000 donation to the Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) Foundation on Oct. 15 to help bring an MRI unit a step closer to becoming a reality in Sioux Lookout.
Legion Ladies Auxiliary Present Charron Sippola said great community support for events the Legion Ladies Auxiliary ran over the past year, such as a Mother’s Day Raffle, Mother’s Day Brunch, and two bingos, made the donation possible.
“I think it’s important for Sioux Lookout. I think it’s important for our region,” Sippola commented of getting an MRI unit at the hospital.
