Stuff A Cruiser

Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the First Step Women’s Shelter coordinated Sioux Lookout’s 12th Annual Stuff A Cruiser event on Dec. 5.
Officers and FSWS representatives accepted cash donations, non-perishable food items and new toys in support of local families in need, accepting donations at three locations that day, first at Fresh Market Foods, then at Giant Tiger and finally at Red Apple.
OPP Acting Sergeant Jean Duguay said the event went well, “We’ve had a lot of people being very generous. COVID has possibly made a little bit of a difference. But, we’ve had an extreme number of referrals. I believe over a 100 children have been referred to be assisted with. We find that the community is always generous at this time of the year and it’s been great.”
