Spring Concert
The Centennial Centre’s Youth Centre was packed on the evening of March 29 for the Sioux Lookout Multi-Cultural Youth Music Program’s Spring Concert.
A program of the Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre, the Spring Concert featured performances by Little Stars, The Rolling Pebbles, Layla and Amaya, The Fretheads, Theo, Will and Liam, Whisper Twice, The Evergreens, In Rhythm, and Skin N’ Bones.
The Little Stars, a band of young beginners, Whisper Twice, a band made up of students from Pelican Falls First Nations High School, and In Rhythm, a group of Sacred Heart School friends, were new bands in the music program this past semester.
Music program director Tommy Kuzemczak said his students did a great job during the show.
The Spring Concert will be posted to the Nishnawbe-Gamik Friendship Centre’s YouTube page.
