SLMHC delivers first baby of 2019

The Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre (SLMHC) saw the first baby of 2019 arrive early in the New Year.

Heidi Turtle from Pikangikum First Nation gave birth to a baby boy at 2:14 a.m. on Jan. 1. The newborn, whose name is still to be decided, measured 50.5 cm in length and weighed 3.423 kilograms (seven pounds, nine ounces).
