Slate Falls Air Balloon Drop

Community members and visitors to Sioux Lookout flocked to Second Sandy Beach on August 10 during this year’s Blueberry Festival for the annual Slate Falls Air Balloon Drop.
Lucky event participants who collected one of the balloons dropped from the Slate Falls Air plane were able to turn in their numbered balloon for a prize.
The event also included a gender reveal (pink smoke) for Slate Falls Air employee Yaroslay Kulikovskykh and his wife Stacey Wong, who are expecting their first child, a girl.
