The Sioux Lookout Bombers are continuing to build their roster leading up to their Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) debut in September.
On May 11, the Bombers announced another player commitment, this time forward Ty Lone.
“Forward Ty Lone hails from Boissevain, MB. Ty played his 2021-2022 season with the Southwest Cougars of the Manitoba U18 AAA Hockey League. He tallied 2 goals and 10 assists in 44 games with the Cougars,” the Bombers shared.
Austen Hoey, Bombers Director of Hockey Operations, shared, “Ty is exactly the type of player we are looking for. We are looking to play a high octane, in your face game, that doesn’t allow opponents to breathe. Ty is among the fastest players we’ve seen at the U18 level, and you couple that with his unbelievable defensive discipline, and you have a player that can slot into so many different spots within our line up, and you have a player on the ice that we are super excited to have wear a Bombers jersey for a long time. Ty also fits into our team motto of Our Town Our Team as he is just a fantastic kid who will become a great member of not only the hockey team but of the town of Sioux Lookout.”
