Sioux Lookout Bombers, the Hub Collective partner to launch “Bombers Brew”

The Sioux Lookout Bombers have partnered with the Hub Collective to launch a special coffee called “Bombers Brew”.
The Bombers shared that the partnership, “began in the team’s inaugural season when the Bombers started exclusively selling Hub coffee in the Terminal Foodbar at the arena.”
The coffee is locally roasted, fresh ground and freshly brewed and in the Bombers’ opinion is, “the best coffee to be found in any arena in the league and beyond.”
The newly launched “Bombers Brew” will be served at the Terminal and on Bombers game days at the Hub Coffee shop. “Bombers Brew will also be available for sale by the bag at the Terminal, the Bombers’ online store (bombersmerch.ca) and at the Hub on front street.
The team shared that “Bombers Brew”, “Is roasted in small batches at the Hub Roastery in Sioux Lookout, Ontario.  It is a medium/ Dark Roast and the flavour is smokey, rich, and full bodied. The beans themselves come by way of Gold Mountain Coffee Growers, LLC from the Jinotega coffee producing region in Nicaragua.”
The Hub Collective shared that, “Gold Mountain Coffee Growers teamed up with several producers in the Jinotega coffee producing region to bring you some of the highest quality coffee in Nicaragua, with complete traceability of each farmer’s coffee. Beans from this region have won the Cup of Excellence many times. However, the Cup of Excellence does not bring steady prices, leaving farmers vulnerable to world markets. Gold Mountain Coffee Growers works on traceability, wet processing, drying, transport, picking techniques, financial management, and much more with these producers.”
They added, “Gold Mountain Coffee Growers is a social enterprise that, in addition to its own farm (Finca Idealista), works directly with coffee producers in Nicaragua to connect them with roasters abroad…GMCG also carries out sustainable development projects in communities, such as free computing classes for girls from coffee communities, medical assistance, microcredit, running water in schools, and educational supplies.”
