Report From Parliament Hill
Eric Melillo, MP, Kenora Riding
Dear Constituents
I was honoured to lay a wreath at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Dryden. We mourn the fallen and pay our respects to every member of the Canadian Armed Forces for the sacrifices they have made. Lest we forget.
NDP-Liberal Minister Caught in Scandal
After 9 years of this NDP-Liberal government, the employment minister, Randy Boissonnault, has now joined the Prime Minister and many of his fellow Ministers with his own ethics scandal.
It has been reported that the minister is tied to a lobbyist who received a staggering $110 million in federal contracts, and the minister was the director of the company that received a further $8 million of government contracts and is engulfed in allegations of fraud and wire fraud.
Minister Boissonnault also tried to hide that he was getting payments from his lobbying firm while it was lobbying his own government, even his own ministry, but he was caught by Global News.
In addition, we also learned the business claimed to be Indigenous-owned, despite Minister Boissonnault repeatedly stating he is white.
He shows once again that this Prime Minister and his government are not worth the cost or the corruption.
Randy Boissonnault must come clean about how much money he took from taxpayers and whether he defrauded Indigenous people by falsely claiming Indigenous identity in order to obtain contracts.
