Report From Parliament Hill
Eric Melillo, MP, Kenora Riding
Dear Constituents
It was great to be at the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association conference in Thunder Bay to speak with mayors, councillors, and municipal officials from across northwestern Ontario. I was proud to share our party’s vision to get more homes built, fill labour gaps, and restore community safety.
Representing Canada
I had the honour of travelling to New York with the House of Commons Standing Committee on Indigenous and Northern Affairs to meet with officials from Indigenous nations and organizations in Canada and around the world.
We discussed issues and barriers that Indigenous Peoples face in Canada and other countries. Canada can and must do better to advance reconciliation and support self-determination.
Conservatives are committed to working with Indigenous Peoples and will continue to advocate to the government to improve Indigenous services and ensure everyone has access to access to clean drinking water, housing, and education.
