Pelican Falls students to continue remote learning

The surge in COVID-19 cases in Ontario has led to classes being moved to remote learning once again, and Pelican Falls First Nations High School (PFFNHS) students are following suit.
The Ontario Government announced on January 3 that all publicly funded and private schools would move to remote learning starting January 5. The move is expected to last until at least January 17.
As Darrin Head, Principal at PFFNHS, related, “The province of Ontario mandated that all private and public schools in Ontario open to virtual learning from January 5 to 17, 2022. Pelican Falls First Nations High School is considered a private school by the province of Ontario, so we have to adhere to the Ontario mandate.”
PFFNHS students had been set to return to class for in-person learning on January 5.
