New Operations Manager for Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment cluster

Staff Sergeant Michael Kreisz has been appointed as the new Operations Manager for the Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment cluster.
Kreisz holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Law, from Carleton University. According to Sioux Lookout OPP, he has spent his entire policing career in the Northwest Region, and is very familiar with the Sioux Lookout OPP cluster.
“Staff Sergeant Kreisz began his policing career in 2009, when he was posted to the Sioux Lookout OPP detachment as a Provincial Constable. He quickly moved into the role of Detective Constable with the Sioux Lookout Crime Unit, where he spent five years taking part in serious criminal investigations across the Northwest Region.
“In 2016, Staff Sergeant Kreisz was promoted to Sergeant. He worked as the Sergeant in charge of the Pickle Lake and North Caribou Lake First Nation satellite detachments, and in 2018 he completed a temporary assignment as the Sioux Lookout Detective Sergeant. In 2020, he took on an acting role as Operations Manager for the Sioux Lookout OPP detachment cluster,” Sioux Lookout OPP informed.
Kreisz was officially appointed as the Staff Sergeant, Operations Manager, of the Sioux Lookout OPP detachment cluster on June 29. In this role he is responsible for overseeing police operations in Sioux Lookout, Pickle Lake, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation, Wapekeka First Nation, and North Caribou Lake First Nation.
