NAPS welcomes 17 new police officers

Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) welcomed 17 new police officers to the force on May 27.
Chief of Police Roland Morrison presented the new officers with their badges during a presentation ceremony.
Graduating police officers are: Constables Aaron Cooper, Sam Couce, Danyle Copetti, Peter Franken, Dillon Lever, Tyler Moskalyk, Brendan Myre, Zach Nixon, Autumn Olsen, Carlos Panetta, Matt Quesnel-Lafontaine, Abby Tabachak, Ezatollah Teimuri, Sarellah Teimuri, and Rocky Turtle.
The new officers will be attending various postings for their Coach Officer Training to areas such as Eabametoong First Nation, Moose Factory First Nation, Sandy Lake First Nation, and Kashechewan
First Nation.
NAPS is a First Nation Policing Service which serves 34 of the 49 communities in the Nishnawbe Aski Nation.
