Obituary - Richard Paul Glena
November 29, 1973 - July 14, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Paul Glena on July 14, 2021, in Thunder Bay, ON.
Richie was born on November 29, 1973 in Sioux Lookout, ON.
Richie is survived by his parents, Harry and Bernice Glena of Hudson, ON. Sister; Jenny (Inuvik, NWT), Leslie (Lloydminster, AD), and Debrah (Fort Assiniboine, AB).
Also left to mourn are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nephews.
Richie was predeceased by his grandparents Paul and Annie Glena, and Fabien and Eveline Bouchard. Aunts; Olga Vecqueray, Mary Butchler, Stephanie Zarwich, and Velda Bouchard. Uncles; Mike Glena, Tony Glena, and Richard Bouchard. Niece Devin Glena and cousin Susan Hebert.
Richie attended Hudson Public School and continued his education in Sioux Lookout, ON, where he graduated Grade 12 from Queen Elizabeth District High School.
After high school, Richie worked at McKenzie Forest Products until the mill closure. He surged back into the workforce, gaining employment with several companies including; Johnny’s Fresh Market, Giant Tiger, Moncreif Construction, and Wilf Perron Construction.
Richie enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. Although we don’t know why, his two favourite sports teams were the New York Yankees and the New York Rangers.
Richie was a loving, caring young man who will be sadly missed by all.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Richie’s life will take place on a future date.
