Dryden – Hundreds of angry gun owners gathered at the legion hall here last Thursday night, using the opportunity to fire criticism at the federal government’s gun control proposals and at local MP Robert Nault.

Imagine a typical classroom. What if a child misbehaved and was sent – not to the principal – but to his own grandmother for discipline? It may sound strange, but it could happen by next September in an alternative classroom being proposed by a group of Sioux Lookout parents for Central School.
On a beautiful mid-May spring day in 2002 I stood in a Manitoba farm field with Peggy Sanders, Donna Prior, and Margaret Tew, three of Sioux Lookout's beautiful, charming ladies. We were there to admire the sunflowers...
