Free family skate features important message

Sioux Lookout and area residents laced up their skates and hit the Sioux Lookout Memorial Arena ice for a free skate, which was sponsored by First Step Women’s Shelter in partnership with the Sioux Lookout Recreation Centre, on Nov. 16.
The event, which was open to skaters of all ages and abilities, was put on in recognition of November being Woman Abuse Prevention Month.
