Sioux Lookout’s fall and winter programming will be on full display during the annual Recreation and Leisure Showcase on August 22.
The free event, which is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will be taking place at the Sioux Lookout Recreation Centre located at 85 King Street.
The event provides an opportunity for Sioux Lookout and area residents to view, and register for, youth and adult programs as well as sports leagues.
“The purpose of the showcase is to discover something you will love this fall and winter, and let community organizations show the families of Sioux Lookout how to get fit, have fun, stay active, learn a new sport, volunteer, and be involved,” said Alyssa Rice, Minor Sports and Special Events Coordinator.
Some confirmed programs and leagues to be in attendance include Girl Guides Canada, Sioux Yama Isshinryu Karate Club, Siouxper Speakers Toastmasters Club, and the Sioux Lookout Minor Hockey Association.
