Fall Family Day
Camp of the Woods invited people from area communities such as Dryden and Sioux Lookout to visit their facility on the afternoon of Oct. 14 and enjoy a wide range of activities including rock climbing, face painting, archery, and hayrides. Snacks and drinks were also provided during the annual Fall Family Day, which was a free event.
Camp Director Johnnie Bates shared, “We’ve got some games set up, just an opportunity for people to come out and enjoy our facility and introduce them to Camp of the Woods.”
He added the event also gave parents an opportunity to see the facility their kids attended summer camp at.
Overall, Bates said he was happy with how the event went, “It seemed like it turned out really good… there’s quite a crowd today, so it’s really good.”
