Drug charges laid after search warrant executed in Sioux Lookout

A 27-year-old Sioux Lookout resident is facing multiple charges after a search warrant was executed at a residence in town on March 4.
Ontario Provincial Police shared in a March 6 media release, “On March 4, 2025, the Sioux Lookout detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), along with members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on King Street in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout.
“The investigation has resulted in the seizure of over 80 grams of suspected cocaine. Canadian currency and items associated with drug trafficking were also seized.”
A 27-year-old from Sioux Lookout has been charged under the Criminal Code (CC) and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine
- Traffick in schedule I substance - Cocaine
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000
