Celebrating 95 years!
Evelyn Makahnouk was surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers during her 95th birthday celebration at Sioux Towers on Oct. 26.
A member of Lac Seul First Nation, Evelyn Makahnouk (nee Sapay) was born on Oct. 28. 1929.
She married her late husband Joseph Makahnouk on Dec. 18, 1952. The couple had eight children, five boys and three girls.
Evelyn spent many years working as a ward clerk at the old Zone Hospital.
“I was very happy to see all these people, I haven’t seen for ages some of them,” she commented.
