42nd Blueberry Festival right around the corner

Sioux Lookout’s 42nd Blueberry Festival is fast approaching with over 100 events to enjoy.
Running from August 2 – 11, Sioux Lookout Blueberry Festival and Special Events Coordinator Kayleigh Bates shared, “We are welcoming back some favourite events including the Chamber of Commerce’s Home, Craft, and Trade Show, the Sioux Mountain Music Festival, the Rotary Pancake Breakfast, and of course Opening Ceremonies and Bert’s Birthday Party. New events this year include the Sioux Lookout Renaissance Fair, a Blueberry Bubble Bash, and Street Art at the Skate Park. Most of the 10 days during the festival are jam-packed with something to do, both throughout the day and in the evenings. As always, there are various BBQs, tournaments, customer appreciation events, and other fun family events to look forward to!”
Bates added that some events that will take place over multiple days, or throughout the entire Festival. 
Bates said she is hoping Blueberry Festival events booklets will available the week leading up to the festival. 
She added, “We are hoping to have t-shirts for sale at the TIC starting this week!”
“Overall things are going quite well! We are on track when it comes to planning and preparations, which is always a good thing as the month of July can get quite busy,” Bates commented. “It is exciting and encouraging to see all of the event registrations that have come in. We are super fortunate to have all the amazing event organizers, hosts, and volunteers in our community who help to make the Blueberry Festival a fun-filled event for both residents and visitors.
